Through our Sustainability Strategy “Uncork a Better Future”, we contribute to 10 of 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Through the 10 Programs of “Uncork a Better Future” Strategy, we seek to generate positive impacts on our different stakeholders, which are the pillars. In addition, every year we conduct internal and external exercises that allow us to maintain the validity of our strategy.

Our planet is one of our main stakeholders, within “Uncork a Better Future” Strategy. 

Therefore, we have 5 Programs with the objective of helping to build a better, resilient and regenerative future. Our commitments are set to 2025 and are aligned with 5 Sustainable Development Goals to which the company contributes.

We seek to regenerate the conditions of our planet through our practices in water, energy, waste, climate change and nature.

Program

ZERO WASTE OF WATER

Water is a fundamental element in the production of wine, that is why we created the “Zero Waste of Water” Program. We seek to generate efficiencies in our irrigation systems and in our industrial processes to make an efficient and rational use of water.

Currently, 100% of our vineyards use drip irrigation, ensuring that each vine receives the necessary amount of water it needs.

Since 2010, we have measured our water footprint based on Water Footprint Network Methodology, which demostrated that our footprint is 40% lower than the global wine industry average.

ZERO WASTE OF WATER

Our global presence drives us to global responsibility. For this reason, we have more than 15 years of experience in climate action, managing a 35% reduction in total emissions.

Through Viña Concha y Toro’s Climate Action Program, we measure our carbon footprint based on the GhG Protocol Methodology, we externally verify our footprint, since 2017 we have a reduction path based on SBTi (Science Based Targets) and we disclose our information according to TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) guidelines.

Our global presence drives us to global responsibility. For this reason, we have more than 15 years of experience in climate action, managing a 35% reduction in total emissions.

Through Viña Concha y Toro’s Climate Action Program, we measure our carbon footprint based on the GhG Protocol Methodology, we externally verify our footprint, since 2017 we have a reduction path based on SBTi (Science Based Targets) and we disclose our information according to TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) guidelines.
